KAY-ANN WARD - Choreographer

Dancer, Choreographer, Instructor and Writer, brings diversity and passion to her work to create pieces that are innovative, entertaining, thrilling, exciting and touching. A true perfectionist, Kay-Ann visualizes her pieces before she meticulously puts them together to tell a story through movement. She has performed with the hit South African musical UMOJA and was a winner at the 2007 International Talent Performance Competition as well as winner in the 2008 Fame Model and Fitness Competition held in Toronto. She also choreographed and performed Luminato Festival (2007, 2008) and was a featured dancer at the 2008 Much Music Video Awards, performing for the international rapper Flo-Rida.

When she is not choreographing, Miss Ward teaches various classes and workshops for dancers, and adults alike. Her classes and workshops are innovatively fresh, energetic and is revered for keeping you kinesthetically attentive and alert. Kay-Ann challenges her dancers in choreography to think like the pioneers of dance; outside the box! Her choreography is never just the movements, there is a story, creativity, there is a visual connectivity, there is emotion!
